The wiggly lines created by the spinning front wheels pretty much tell the story. This was on a 2,000 foot uphill. I reached the traffic backlog at the bottom of the hill at 4:13, finally passed this stricken Toyota at 4:20. Seven minutes for less than 2,000 feet. To his credit he was still trying by the time I reached him, so points for determination.

first snow and everyone forgets how to drive. Two more snows and everyone will be passing you doing 50

the worst snow experience I had was being at work one day and a freak snow storm hit. We love in Va Beach... An inch shuts EVERYTHING down. So they started sending people home. I left because I already dumped salt on the front and back of the store for everyone and wanted to get home before everyone else decided to do so.
Wellllll I apparently left a few minutes after. Mind you my Stringbean doesn't have a ton of power but it had near bald summer tires. So traffic is putsing along at 5 mph. We got to an overpass and all was well until it was my turn to lurch forward when as I slowly applied gas I started sliding backwards. #ohshitwaffle. Thankfully for autostick I got it into 3rd and slowly climbed the hill (while feeling sorry for everyone behind me listening to my angry exhaust) but I made it up nonetheless. The descent however is another story.

Unless they get new tires that 'Yota won't be passing anyone

Then one will go off the road and everyone will remeber to keep it to 25. Until 2 storms later when they forget again.

Last year I went up to my friend's place to get ready for a rally in Canada. He was going to be driving and I would be co-driving. After we're done prepping the car we head to his place, him in his STi on performance tires and me in my Outback on snows. It had just started snowing and there was maybe a quarter inch on the ground. Every time we're going up or down a hill, regardless of speed (which I don't think ever exceeded 15), his car would start sliding toward the ditch and I could see him doing "happy hands" on the steering wheel. I was so sure I'd end up having to break out the tow rope to yank him back onto the road at some point.

That sounds like a ton of fun though. "Bring out the tow rope!" "But I'm not stuck yet!" "It doesn't matter!"

Three scariest vehicles I've seen are a pickup flooring and fish tailing after getting a green light, an RX8 just flooring it on the highway, and a geo metro unable to make it up a hill. The metro was the most frustrating as I was stuck behind in a plow truck going 5mph. Being nighttime and seeing there was no on up ahead I put it into 4wd and blew past.

We got stuck on a hill like that at one point. After about 5 minutes of not moving, a city plow driver came up behind us. Instead of being helpful, or even going around and letting us ul into the path he cleared, he just sat behind is blowing his air horn. Real helpful.

We don't get snow 'round these parts, but similar things happen every time it rains. It's been drizzly/sprinkling all week and all of a sudden everyone's driving like their grandmas. Le sigh.

Your comment suggests anyone knows how to drive in the first place! In the fine state of Maryland one drop of water makes it look like the apocalypse is upon us.

I don't want to jump to conclusions or do anything here that should be done via email, but I noticed a new account pop up within the last hour so that has only made about 4 comments, all border lining dickish. Figured I'd give you a heads up, I'll link to it if that's okay for a comment.

Send me the link and I'll take a look.
If you'd prefer less eyes on this discussion or the link to the account you can stick it in one of my older Oppo posts.
